The Student Resource Center connects you to campus and community resources and services related to basic needs to help you overcome any barriers in your life that interfere with your academic success.  We connect students to resources related to basic needs such as food, housing, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and more.

Free Supplies for Students (while supplies last)

  • School supplies (notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, binders, and headphones)
  • Safer sex supplies (condoms, dental dams, lube, emergency contraception, and pregnancy tests)

Adam joined Normandale as the Student Resource Center Coordinator in December 2024. Adam brings over 10 years of youth work experience, most recently as the Housing Program Director for Oasis for Youth, a Bloomington, MN. He is excited to bring his passion for youth work to Normandale and to use his knowledge of local resources to expand Normandale’s Students’ resource networks. In his spare time he enjoys bird watching, riding his bike, camping, playing video games, reading, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Paige has worked at Normandale for over 12 years. Paige is passionate about connecting students to basic needs resources to help them meet their goals. Prior to Normandale she worked in nonprofits and publishing. In her free time you can find her playing with her kids, running with friends, reading books, and cooking vegetarian food.  

Campus Cupboard

The Campus Cupboard provides Normandale students with free food and hygiene items.

Emergency Assistance Grant

This Normandale Cares grant provides emergency financial assistance for current students.

    • Provides a variety of legal services. Services for survivors of domestic or sexual assault include criminal court advocacy, orders for protection, and legal representation. Tubman also offers law clinics to discuss family law, child protection law, and unmarried couples’ legal issues. Legal services also available for immigrant families.

    • Provides people with volunteer lawyers who provide advice, brief services or representation in court. Some issues that VLN helps with are family, civil, housing, immigration, criminal expungement, bankruptcy.

Donate

 There are a variety of ways to support students through the Student Resource Center. Ways you can donate:

  • Adult clothing (please no shoes), including winter wear in the colder months. Personal hygiene items (i.e. soap, shampoo, conditioner, period products, diapers, baby wipes). Donation location and hours: Student Resource Center (A 1560) Monday-Thursday 10 am-5 pm and Fridays 10 am-4:30 pm. Donations are tax-deductible.  If you’d like a donation form for taxes send your receipt(s) to Foundation@normandale.edu  
  • Donate via credit card through the Normandale Foundation; on the donation page select "Other" and put the Campus Cupboard or Student Resource Center in the Notes. 
  • You can set up a recurring payroll donation to support the Campus Cupboard and Student Resource Center.  To set this up contact the Normandale Foundation at Foundation@normandale.edu
