Identity Theft and Fraud- Information for Law Enforcement

  • When an individual believes they are a victim of identity theft, we will review the record that was created in the victim’s name and, when appropriate, remove all classes and associate charges. Our Victims of Identity Theft page outlines the steps an identity theft victim must follow in order for us to launch the investigation.
  • If you wish to obtain information about the victim, a lawful subpoena or warrant issued by a Minnesota court is required. The subpoena must specifically name the information you wish to obtain.
  • To avoid delay, it is helpful for the subpoena or warrant to state that the named individual should not be notified in advance.
  • Submit your subpoena to records@normandale.edu
  • If you do not intend to complete an investigation beyond taking the victim’s report, you may not need to take the steps to obtain additional information. We need a copy of the police report to launch our investigation. See the Victims of Identity Theft page for more information.
