Scholarships of $2,500, which is nearly half of a full-year tuition, are available to students who apply, are qualified and plan to study in the following areas:

Healthcare

• Dental Hygiene
• Community Health Education
• Healthcare Systems Technology
• Nursing

Technology

• Computer Science
• Computer Technology

Education

• Elementary Education Foundations Transfer Pathway
• Special Education Foundations Transfer Pathway

Students must be enrolled in at least 9 credits per term in an eligible program, and keep Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Normandale PRISM Scholars Program is an NSF-funded program aimed at high achieving low-income students who are planning to earn a four-year degree in a STEM field. Each scholar will be assigned a faculty mentor and will receive as much as $3,750 in scholarship money each semester, for four semesters.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be an enrolled member of a Federally recognized tribe.
• Be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited community college, or four-year college or university within the State of Minnesota.
• Be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Possess a minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate applicants and 3.0 for graduate applicants.

Award amounts range from $500-$2,000 per term.

The American Indian Scholars Program was established in the 2023 Minnesota Legislative Session. This program provides a first-dollar tuition and fee-free pathway at Normandale for:

• Minnesotans eligible for resident tuition who are enrolled members or citizens of any federally recognized tribe or Canadian First Nation
• Students not eligible for resident tuition who are enrolled members or citizens of a Minnesota Tribal Nation are also eligible for the program

How much money can you get?

This program provides a first-dollar tuition and fee-free pathway for eligible students.  This means your tuition and fees will be paid with the American Indian Scholars Program. However, because Normandale receives a limited allocation, this funding may not be available for every term or you may not receive full coverage for all terms.

Who is eligible?

In general, students must:

• Be enrolled in admitted to a degree or certificate program at Normandale;
• Not have already obtained a bachelor’s degree;
• Have fewer than 180 credits attended at the college-level; and
• Be either a:
  • Minnesota resident who qualifies for resident tuition and an enrolled member or citizen of a federally recognized American Indian Tribe or Canadian First Nation; or
  • Student who does not qualify for resident tuition but is an enrolled member or citizen of a Minnesota Tribal Nation.

I’m eligible, what now?

Complete the American Indian Scholarship application and submit your tribal enrollment documentation (tribal enrollment card or Certificate of Indian Blood from the Tribal Office which will have the Enrollment Number.)

Allow 2 – 3 weeks for processing of your application.  You can view your award information in your financial aid award notice in your eServices account.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must have lived in St. Paul or nearby community.
• Demonstrate Satisfactory Academic Progress.
• Demonstrate character and integrity.
• Be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in an undergraduate course of study.

Wallin Education Partners provides high school seniors with 6,000 in scholarship funding and advising and career readiness support. We strongly encourage students who are focused on getting their associate's and entering the workforce to apply for our scholarship. However, several scholarships are set aside for students who plan to transfer and earn their bachelor's degree. The priority deadline for Wallin's 2-Year Scholarship is May 15th, and students can APPLY on our website.
