AUDIT
Senior citizens can opt to audit a course. Auditing classes as a senior citizen means you attend classes, but you are not required to take tests. Under this grading method, you do not receive grades, nor do you earn college credit. Your grade on an official transcript will display as “AU.” Senior citizens enrolling under the audit grading method are not charged tuition, but are financially responsible for:
LETTER GRADE
Senior citizens can opt to take a course for letter grade. If opting for letter grade, you will be expected to meet the expectations of the class, such as taking tests. At the end of the semester, you will earn your letter grade. Letter grades are required if pursuing a degree or certificate. Unlike the audit grading method, senior citizen students enrolling for letter grade will be charged a reduced tuition rate—a $20 administrative fee per credit.
