The Julie Guelich Math Center helps students prepare for college-level math courses by providing individualized tutoring, drop-in study space, and technology for Normandale’s Pre-College Math courses (MATH 060X).
It is your place to learn math in a welcoming and comfortable setting, supported by faculty, professional staff, and peer tutors who embrace a variety of learning styles.

MATH 060X courses use ALEKS, an online, self-paced math learning platform. The Math Center provides friendly humans who can support as you navigate your learning path on ALEKS.
You can book an on-campus or virtual appointment to meet one-on-one with a tutor, or you are welcome to drop in and utilize the space to study and receive help as needed.
“I used to feel lost during some of my classes, but meeting with a peer tutor really changed that. They explained things in a way that finally clicked for me, and I felt so much more confident going into exams. If you’re struggling or just want extra support, I highly recommend giving it a try!"
Do you like helping others succeed? The Academic Support Centers hire students to work in a variety of positions. We offer competitive pay, professional development opportunities, and a work environment that values your educational endeavors.
